Commonwealth Home Support Programme
ITSOWEL is a registered aged care provider of Commonwealth Home Support Programme (CHSP) services with the Department of Health & Aged Care. We deliver services to individuals needing entry-level support to keep living as independently as possible in their own home and in their community. We are funded to deliver Flexible Respite (care for you while your carer takes a break), Social Support Individual (accompanied activities) and Social Support Groups (group activity in a community setting).
The Commonwealth Government subsidises the CHSP, but it is expected that you contribute towards the cost of the service. Client fees are kept to a reasonable and affordable level and agreed with you before commencing service. If you are not eligible for government-funded services, you are still able to receive services from us on a fee for service basis.

ITSOWEL is a registered aged care provider of Home Care Package services with the Department of Health & Aged Care. We deliver coordinated services in the home for individuals with more complex care needs. Our services include, but are not limited to: assistance with self care, medication prompting, domestic and light gardening, respite care, allied health, nursing care, social support, meal preparation, transport and personal assistance.
If you are a part-pensioner or self-funded retiree, you may be required to make a contribution to the cost of your care by paying an Australian Government Income Tested Fee. More information about this fee is available on the My Aged Care website.
Support at Home
Home Care Packages
ITSOWEL services provide assistance with daily living to support you to live independently in your own home for as long as you can. We deliver a range of services that support your quality of life and well-being as you age.

We are a registered service provider of Social Support Groups with My Aged Care (MAC). Our groups are a great place to make new friends or connect with old friends, tell stories, engage in cultural and well-being activities, stay active and enjoy life. Our staff always encourage our clients to connect with one another, care for their mental and physical well-being and try new activities. As your needs change we also support you to access extra care and services by speaking with you and your carer about a MAC reassessment.
Our groups take place at our Community Centre in Wollongong, as well as various locations in the Illawarra. Our groups run with the generous support of our dedicated volunteers who prepare morning tea, a beautiful home-cooked Italian lunch and coffee service.
This program welcomes those who have a Home Care Package or who have a referral under the Commonwealth Home Support Programme. Contact us today to discuss your options.
