ITSOWEL is a registered not-for-profit aged care service provider delivering inclusive care to the community.
Through our care, we empower older people to maintain independence, dignity and quality of life as they age. We infuse our Italian heritage into all that we do, to help us build quality relationships and celebrate life, at all ages.
Step One
Contact My Aged Care (MAC) to confirm whether you are eligible for services and to speak about your care needs.

Step Two
MAC will schedule a time for you to have an assessment done in the home or over the phone. Ask a family member or carer to be with you for the assessment, and arrange for a translator if needed. Translating and interpreting service (TIS National) can be reached at 131 450.
Step Three
The assessor will work with you to develop a support plan that addresses your needs, goals and preferences. MAC and service providers can give you information about how much you might have to pay. You may need to complete a financial assessment through Services Australia.
Step Four
You will now need to choose a provider. Your assessor and MAC can help you use the online tool: myagedcare.gov.au/find-a-provider.
If you choose ITSOWEL, a service referral is generated through MAC and an ITSOWEL staff member will contact you to discuss your care needs. ITSOWEL will make appointment with you to discuss your support plan and the services that might meet your needs.

Everyone is friendly and I love the opportunity to meet other Italians in my peer group as most of my friends, including myself, spend too much time alone at home.
